Payment and Fees
The fee for a forensic psychological evaluation is determined on a case by case basis. Fees range from $5000 to $7500 and are determined by the complexity of the referral question, the extent of the record review and the number of interviews of collateral sources of information.
Typically, the fee for a forensic evaluation is paid through the referring attorney or agency requesting the evaluation. The verbal discussion of the fee will be followed up with a written document. (A letter from the referring attorney can serve this purpose.) All fees are due before the date of the evaluation.
Courtroom testimony and preparation time for testimony is $275 an hour.
Dr. Minrath does not accept credit cards.
The cost of the forensic evaluation and any related report writing and Courtroom testimony is not covered by health insurance. Insurance companies provide coverage for medical services rendered for the treatment of diagnosed psychiatric/medical clinical conditions. The purpose of the forensic evaluation is to provide clinical information pertaining to legal matters.
